Question
Anyone with experience of condensing boiler? our old floor mounted Buderus boiler (16 years old) consumes a lot of gas and needs quite a bit of repair/maintenance. Have been advised to replace with wall mounted condensing boiler...is it 'green'? i understand the 'remboursement' by the state is now very small. any words of advice?

Any new boiler will consume less gas , about 20-30 % , and is easier in maintenance, and use.
In older houses the condensing might not be of much use, as the radiators are not designed for the lower water temperature needed for the condensing effect.
Also a wall unit will not last as long as your old boiler .
