Holiday in November

We would like to have a one-week holiday with our two-year-old son in the beginning of November.  We would like to go to a place that is warm and have a hassle-free holiday (i.e. direct flight, good hotels etc).  We have never been to Tunisia and we started considering it.  Is Tunisia a good place to travel with a child (especially considering the political unrest of this year)?  Which cities, what kinds of hotels would you recommend?  Any interesting places to visit (to add some culture to our holiday)? Or would Morocco be a better destination?  Any advice will be welcome.
