Hospitalization insurance

Recently, I received a rather large hospital bill which was not covered by the Mutuelle. Luckily, I have hospitalization insurance through my employer that can cover this. However, I am curious, if I was not employed, how much would a hospitalization insurance cost to cover the extra charges from a stay in the hospital. I've tried to search online, but I can not find any prices
