How to find out if I can start a business
Question
I did something bad the last time I lived in Belgium, so I am not sure if I can start a business here (Be director).
How can I find out? I heard in one case it stopped at the Notary, so could I just go to one and ask?
Perhaps Partena, as they help people register as self-employed?
(I have asked an accountant, she was not very clear)
It goes on qualifications.
- University degree or higher education certificate - OK
- School leaving - only if recognised as equivalent to a Belgian exam
- Otherwise - no. Unless you pass a special that proves you can run a business, OR you can prove you have run a business before for a number of years elsewhere.
