indemnity rule : has it changed ?

Hi,
Can somebody please clarify to me the indemnity rule in Belgium ?
Have they changed ?
I have stayed in an apartment for more than a year.
The contract was signed for 3 years .
Unfortunately i need to leave the apartment now due to job reallocation.
The landlord is asking me to pay up 3 months rent .... is this correct ?
I think it goes down every year ? I mean i just have to pay 2 months penalty right ?
You still have to pay your notice period of 3 months it is just your guarantee that should be returned is now only 2 months + any repairs that are required once you have the inspection done.
Your notice period always stays the same.
Only the amount of guarantee that he is entitled to take changes.
