infraction roulage

Question

Hello,
I recently received a convocation from police saying I need to present myself at the police station. The concern mentioned was 'infraction roulage'. As I was travelling my wife went with the letter but they just gave another appointment and on being asked what is it for, they said they can't tell her. I do not have any pending fines. Can anyone help me if they know what it is about or have had a similar experience ? Thanks!

'infraction roulage' simply translates as 'rolling offence'. This can be anything from speeding, driving in a bus lane etc. These all have basic fines, so depending on what you did the fine increases. They will inform you of your offence when you present yourself. You can then choose to pay the fine or contest it.
