international drivers licence

Question

How does it work here with the international drivers licence. Do I have to go to the commune and just ask for it? How long does it take? What does it cost?

We were able to get ours the same day we got our driver's licenses. We just asked for them at the same desk we got the Belgian one. It is valid for three years and only in conjunction with the other one. It was quite painless and was under 30 euro (I don't remember what we paid precisely).
