internet: best pay as you go SIM card?
Is Lyca the best deal for a pay as you go SIM card with a lot of internet data in Belgium? I think I've seen a 25euro/month for 7GB deal with Lyca.
I will be in Belgium until the end of the year and need access to a lot of mobile internet on the go (no need for a lot of sms's or voice calls)...the data on the Proximus pay as you go SIM I already have gets costly if you use more than 1GB or 1.5GB, which I always do--I need more like 5GB per month, so was thinking of changing to a Lyca card, or another if anyone has any recommendations?
Is Lyca's coverage throughout Belgium good? I'm traveling around Belgium a lot for work, not just in Brussels.
I am very satisfied with Mobile Vikings (https://mobilevikings.be/en/v2/offer/prepaid/#tab:i-want-to-surf-more).
With them, I never had any coverage problems within Belgium. I have never tried Lyca, so I don't know how they compare.
I agree, Mobile Vikings. Excellent coverage (they use the BASE network) and really good customer service in English.
They have a range of reloads you can choose. I always take the 4GB (more data) one for 15 euros a month, which is good value for what I want, and I do almost zero calling to traditional phones.

People suggesting mobile vikings do so because they get something back for referral. They are awful if you want to say ring or text. So do read the terms very carefully first If you plan to swap because I think it is always the cheapest all round bundle.
Proximus are very expensive Base offer better GB and you can ask for a data add on I don't know about Lyca etc there used to be a comparison page you could check. Be aware it's now illegal to have a sim without some form of ID shown at shop all pay and go had to register
Sorry it is not always
Total nonsense CC_R. People recommend Mobile Vikings because their experience of them is very good.
@CC_R
What do you get back for recommending a total stranger whose initials may - or may not - be TW?
My experience with Mobile vikings was not very good. I used for 3 years. They did have 3G but the coverage was very poor. At the end, I changed to Proximus, which was super expensive. Then I changed to Orange. Now I am quite happy with them. I use the pre-payed card and I got excellent coverage everywhere I went so far.
Recommended....
It seems that Mobile Vikings and Proximus are not so good options in Belgium. So many people have written here that they have had a worse experience with Vikings. Since Proximus is super expensive you should consider Orange or something.
