You should be fine with it working without any hassle in the same way it normally would, you would just need and adaptor for the power or get a new cord locally and be prepared to pay the postman a nice fee when he drops it off for customs fees.

I'm not sure if Apple have a policy that they wont sell to Europe from the US like other manufacturers but that shouldn't be too hard to find out.
