Hello,
Could someone tell me the date the January Sales start in Germany. Is it strictly in january or will they start already once Christams Day is passed.

Officially shops in Germany are allowed to start earlier but often they still stick to the same dates. Winter sales (Winterschlussverkauf=WSV)in Germany starts 21 January 2013(recommended). It's until end of January or February (depending on the shop). If you have a favouried shop you want to go it's best to check online.
