Jazz Clarinet & Strings

Born in Uzbekistan and from Ukrainian roots, clarinetist Anton Jakimenko arrived in the Netherlands as a child refugee. Coming from both classical and jazz backgrounds, he developed a unique form of sound expression transiting among the Western music language, Slavic folklore, and Eastern traditions.

Multiple award winning jazz violinist Oene van Geel will be joining the ensemble and sharing the stage with three other classical string players: Sarah Oates - concertmaster of the London Philharmonia, Maeva Laroque - co-principal of 2nd violins in the Brussels Opera 'La Monnaie' and Eduardo Tonietto - cellist and artistic director of Brussels Muzieque.

Together in this diverse background, they will present a myriad of original compositions, some more traditional themes, and a few surprises.

Doors open 30 minutes before the concert start time. The concert starts at 8.00 pm sharp. The Full Circle bar will be open before and after the concert.
