Jette station cat gets reviews on Google

A railway station cat in Jette has been listed as a landmark on Google Maps, achieving a rating of 4.9 out of five stars with more than 50 reviews from users.

The grey and white cat, frequently spotted at the station, has become somewhat of a tourist attraction, Bruzz reports.

“A very cute cat, usually very cuddly,” wrote reviewer Marina T. “Clean and homely. He always watches the people walking to and from the station. Every time I see him, he cheers me up.”

Rich, on the other hand, was more critical in a review that gave four stars.

“Quite snobbish but she has her charm, love watching her chilling in the sun,” the user wrote.

Roos G christened the cat Grijsje. Another user, Aadi, said they had been photographing Grijsje since 2023.

With a 4.9 star rating, Grijsje scores higher than nearby King Baudouin Park (4.5), Schievelavabo restaurant (4.2) and the local Delhaize supermarket (3.9).

User Liesbeth Velghe wrote that the cat belongs to her mother and "loves nothing more than waiting for the commuters in the mornings and evenings and getting petted".
