Job as a Dentist

Question

Hello,
I'm Dr.Georgieva from Bulgaria and I have an year and a half experience as a graduated dentist.I'm trying to find a job as a dentist in Belgium but I find it very difficult because all the job offers I see in the biggest EU job agencies required minimum 3 years of experience and I was wondering if there are any other way to start work as a newbie.

The Belgian government might ask you to follow the last year of dentistry work here in Belgium. Then you could practice here. A Brazilian dentist did this, but because qualifications can be fake in Brazil, the Belgian government told her that she would have to do another year of dentistry work here in Belgium. She did this and then set up her own dental clinic in Brussels. As most of her clients spoke Flemish she also followed a Dutch language course.

Thank you but what you mean by following a dental work in BE...that I have to work for someone?

Dentists are self-employed professionals. It is rare to "find a job" as a dentist. You would normally "set up your own practice".

She went to the Belgian government authorities; followed last year of Belgian dentistry exams - which she passed.
Belgian government helped her to find dentistry work. She choose to go self-employed and with the government support was able to set up her own dentistry business in Brussels.
