Journey to Sicily

Go to the Egadi islands, just off the coast in front of Trapani. Favignana is my favourite. Also do not miss Trapani itself (periphery not great, but city centre fantastic), Erice, the salines, San Vito Lo Capo and the Zingaro natural reserve. Marsala is also worth a visit but I'd keep it as an additional option. At this time of the year, you can't be too fussy about accommodation though -- the good places are booked months in advance.
