If all you plan to read is novels or anyway books with just text, then just get a Kindle. If you read magazines with pictures, then the Kindle Fire is the obvious choice. Do not get carried away by the list of features of the Kindle Fire -- an e-reader must be judged as an e-reader, not as an iPad replacement.
