Why lease? Why not buy?
Your scope for negotiation is basically how much they'll give you PX for the old one. You should find that all dealerships of a certain brand will give you exactly the same deal on any particular car in a month. If you're lucky, that particular model will be on promotion that month. It's pretty much a cartel, and you're very unlikely to get any extra discount.
The only chance for a deal is if the dealer already has a car in stock and is struggling to get rid of it. A friend leased a van with refridgeration in it for a lot cheaper because the dealer had it sat there for 6 months without a buyer.
