Loïc to represent Belgium at Eurovision

Eighteen-year-old Loïc Nottet will represent Belgium at the 60th Eurovision Song Contest next May in Vienna, public broadcaster RTBF reports.

Nottet, from Charleroi, was a finalist in the popular Belgian television song contest The Voice six months ago. Despite losing in the final round, he was chosen by RTBF to represent Belgium at next year’s Eurovision.

It will be the third time that a candidate of The Voice has gone on to represent the country at Eurovision, after Axel Hirsoux (2014) and Roberto Bella Rosa (2013).

Nottet also recently landed a contract with Sony Music Entertainment.
