Is there any way to get legally married in Belgium in a different commune than the one both parties reside in? Anyone ever heard of any exceptions to this rule?

Well we investigated a lot and couldn't find a solution except from moving to that commune. My husband even tried to open a 2nd residence in the city centre so we could marry at grand place but it didn't work out. I agree quite annoying!
