Minimes Cantat

Trumpets and timpani enrich the orchestra for moments of high drama in our May concert.  Both cantatas begin with the same text, but their differences show Bach's creative imagination at its most brilliant.  Between them, a rare moment of serenity in a tender motet by a Bach-loving Irish composer.
