Actually there is no such thing as fixed minimum salary in Belgium, but each sector has the so called 'baremas' which set the minimum levels on the sector according to the age of employee (in theory according to the years of experience, but in practice every lived year after age of 21 is considered as year of experience not depended on whether the person actually worked or not).

Based on the sectoral agreements the conseil national du travail sets a national minimum for those who are not covered by any of the existing sectoral agreements. In 2014 for 21 year old this minimum for full time employment is the above mentioned 1501EUR per month, for 21.5 year old the minimum is 1541EUR and for 22 year old 1559EUR and so it increases as per age. To know what your minimum salary is you need to check under which sectoral agreement (commission paritaire) you work at and then check with their barema table.
