MOBIB Monthcard and the train

Question

I to fill my MOBIB with a STIB Mensuel.

But I might actually take the train - one of these local trains where I know I can use STIP paper 10-trip cards.

Will my MOBIB work on these trains?
Should I buy something else?

If it is train stations in Brussels region, you add instead an MTB season ticket.

If it is train stations outside the Brussels region and coming into Brussels region too, then you need a slightly different MOBIB card, with a STIB supplement season ticket on it.
