Money matters, etc

Question

HI, a while ago I asked a Q re: getting advice/mediation assistance from a service for debts, etc.

Someone replied advising me to contact observatoire credit (see URL:

It now seems that they "take" your salary and pay your debts in your behalf, but leaving you with a very strict budget.

Has anyone heard or expirienced this or know of a much "better" service/solution?

many thanks !

It is exactly that. If you are in debt you are expected to pay everything back - normal. So your salary is effectively siezed and you will be given the amount agreed upon with the mediation service. You will need to to make a justifiable budget. No outings, no holiday, no anything extra. If you have unexpected costs even something as basic as shoes for your kids because their feet grew quickly or a school trip you will have to ask for the extra money. The committee will decide whether it is necessary and then possibly allow you the extra money. Believe me it is not an easy answer to debt.
