Moving to Rixensart area
Hi,
We live in Brussels in a two bedroom apartment but as we have a toddler we are seriously considering moving to the Rixensart area. We would like to have more room and a garden plus we would like to enjoy the green areas. French is not a problem Is the area nice? friendly people? things to do?
Any comments highly appreciated,

We're in exactly the same situation - have decided to move "out there" mainly for the kids and will soon be moving to Genval. I really like the area LaHulpe/Genval/Rixensart, the scenery is beautiful, good schools galore without waiting lists and apparently a good-sized xpat community, while being not too far away to have evenings out in Brussels or a shopping run or two. I have no idea about things to do (yet) - I'm sure we will miss PQ Belga Banco etc - but am planning to turn to BCT to meet up with more people from the area and get the info needed. From what our acquaintances say, the people are friendly, especially if you speak French.
