Moving to Tervuren

Question

Moving to Tervuren -- after more than ten years living in the city centre / EU area, we (family of three) are ready for a change of scenery. I'd like to hear from xpats living there how is life in Tervuren, in terms of facilities, commute times to EU area etc. We do not speak Vlaams at the moment but we'd be happy to learn. I would also be interested in feedback from parents living in Tervuren with kids commuting to the European schools of Woluwe and Laeken. Thanks in advance!

J

If you're near enough to the tram, then commuting is fine. Especially if you like to read. Facilities are good, and there's plenty to do and plenty of regular events. I'd recommend getting stuck into things locally, and do learn the language - it will open up a lot of the better activities.
.
It's a great place for expats - you can either be part of the expat bubble, or you may find that repulsive and fall in with the locals.
