New state bond launches on 4 June

09:14 20/05/2025

Two new government bonds will be issued on 4 June, Belgium's Federal Debt Agency has announced.

The bonds have maturities of one and 10 years, respectively. The cost and return of each bond will be announced later today.

The subscription period will begin on Thursday 22 May and will run until Monday 2 June via the Grands-Livres service and until Tuesday 3 June for those using placement institutions.

Government bonds are generally issued four times a year and are intended for private investors.

The last bond issue in March raised €140 million, far behind the €22 billion attracted by the one-year government bond issued in September 2023.

The latter’s huge success was linked to a reduction in withholding tax, which has not been renewed since.
