Two new hotels open near Brussels Airport
Two new hotels have opened side by side, close to Brussels Airport, helping meet increased demand from the travelling public.
A relative lack of accommodation at, or close to, the national airport has sometimes been a cause of complaint from international air passengers.
However, the twin openings hope to go some way to addressing such concerns.
The two brand-new hotels are Holiday Inn Express Brussels Airport and Adagio Access Brussels Airport.
Last year, owners the Borealis Hotel Group announced the acquisition of various hotel projects in Belgium and the company has now completed two of these projects.
The project has been completed in conjunction with Candor, IHG Hotels & Resorts and Adagio.
Earlier this month, Borealis formally opened the doors to the Holiday Inn Express which has been designed according to a new layout with larger rooms.
The hotel has 208 rooms, 60 of which are connecting rooms, a meeting room, a large express breakfast area where 180 people can eat at the same time, a cafe, crew lounge, 100 underground parking spots (including e-charging stations) and an outdoor terrace.
The Adagio Access Brussels Airport boasts 160 studios each with a fully equipped kitchen, a fitness and communal areas designed for working and relaxing.
There is an underground parking available, a fully equipped communal kitchen, an on-site shop and an "object library" with decorative objects, kitchen utensils, books and games to borrow.
Both hotels are close to the Brussels Airport and easily accessible by car via the E19 and E40. Buses and trains are also available to transport passengers to the centre of Brussels or to the airport.
