Google maps - street names / STIB stops default to Flemish

Question
Evening all,
Despite my best efforts I can’t change the seemingly default state whereby Google maps (in English) tends to default Brussels transport stops and street names to the Flemish version. How can I switch that to French?

Are you on a desktop, or on a mobile phone?
On a desktop, select settings top left hand corned of the screen and at the bottom is "language" set it to French.
No idea for a mobile as I've never tried, but presumably there is a similar setting.
