Internations

Question

Internations: I hadn't heard of Internations until mentioned in an earlier answer. How old are the average members? In their 40s or 50s? I 'm looking for some professional and social groups with members in their 50s. Although members of Friends International are very nice the majority seem to be well into their 60s. Thanks

There seems to a wide range of ages although I've only attended 3 events (a walk, a dinner, a wine tasting). People sign up for events, then either don't go, or don't bother to cancel, but I've noticed that payment is now being required in advance of events where food and drink are involved. Annoying is that to sign up for activity groups you must be a so-called Albatross member, ie you pay. I cancelled mine as the E15 approx. A quarter wasn't worth it to me. Lots of the site is off limits if you don't pay. You can have a try out free of charge so give that a go before you commit.

Please watch out for Internations unethical billing practices. They auto-renew "Albatross" memberships (just under €60/year) without notification then refuse to reimburse if the renewal was undesired. Gives me quite a negative impression of this group.
