500 people take part in picnic protest

Brussels police report that around 500 people participated in the PicNic the Streets event at Boulevard Anspach on Sunday afternoon. The action encourages city residents to reappropiate public spaces. It calls for improved mobility in the centre of Brussels with more pedestrian areas for families. Also making the most of the sunshine were more than 2,000 people who joined a first-ever giant yoga session in Bois de la Cambre park. Brussels Yoga Sunday was organised by the non-profit Vidonne and included various health and wellness activities.
