Chinese news agency taken with Cantillon brewery

The Xinhua News Agency, China’s official news source, has taken a shine to traditional Brussels brewery Cantillon, running a 10-page photo report on its website today. The pictures focus on Jean Van Roy, head of the 112-year-old brewery, demonstrating the various stages of the brewing process, with a backdrop of mashing tuns, pipes and wooden barrels. Cantillon, in Anderlecht, specialises in ‘lambic’ style beers, spontaneous-fermentation beers unique to the Brussels region.
