New application for e-gov registration

The process of registering to use online government services in Belgium has changed. Proof of identity is needed to access most e-government services, and involves registering online at Belgium.be. Belgian residents can now identify themselves in three ways: with their electronic identity card; with a token (a card containing 24 PIN codes, sent to them by post); or with a ‘triplet’ (a combination of national register, identity card and SIS card numbers).
