Bailliffs

Question

Hello

A friend of mine is disputing charges from the Commune. He wants to know what is the procedure for them calliing in the bailliffs or huissiers. Do they have to inform him that they have sent his file to the collection agency?

Any advice would be most welcome!

Thanks

The received wisdom from many similar questions over the years and my own personal experience is that you pay the bill and argue afterwards.
I disputed and ignored a bill from the Belgian government and the bailiffs just arrived at my door. I paid up and, in due course after many months arguing, I got my money and all my costs refunded.
