Free Norton anti-virus and spyware protection

Question

I used to have Avast! anti-virus and spyware downloaded for me by my son.

Now, however, my newly repaired portable computer keeps showing a Norton window suggesting I should prolong anti-virus and spyware protection for 60 days FREE. To do this, I have to click my agreement to their terms and conditions (Symantec).

My question is: if I do this, will I automatically be billed by Norton for this sort of protection to continue after the 60 days?

Otherwise, is it safe for me to wait until my son's next visit next month?

Thank you.

the file will download and when it has fisished you will be asked if you want to save the file or RUN
select run and it will take you through a simple set-up process.
