Jordan and Belgium discuss police training collaboration

Belgium and Jordan are to collaborate in the training of Jordanian police, reports the Petra Agency.  The acting director general of the police force, Brigadier General Yousef Hamdan Abbadi, yesterday met the Belgian defence attaché, Colonel Guy Claeys, in Amman to discuss ways of exchanging training, security and technical expertise. Abbadi said the Jordanian police had improved its operational capabilities to carry out its duties in accordance with international standards and best practices. Claeys praised the advanced level of the Jordanian police department at regional and international levels, voicing hope for more cooperation especially in the field of diplomatic security.
