Hi,

Apart from Maastricht, are there any other nice cities in Holland not far from Brussels that are worth a visit? Ideally, one that has good train connections.

Leiden and Utrecht are both charming university towns full of history and worth a visit. I'd give Eindhoven, Breda and Rotterdam a miss.

Middelburg, Dordrecht, Delft, Den Bosch: all have old city centres (17 century or older).
Utrecht: also old inner city, many students.
Rotterdam: modernism
Would all be easily connected by train, if they hadn't messed up with the high speed Fyra...
