Where to dispose of tyres?
I have 2 old motorbike tyres which I took to the container park the other day but was not allowed to dispose of there. The 'official' obviously enjoying his moment of power over a mere citizen admonished me for not knowing that it was not allowed to dispose of tyres at the waste recycling park.... and when I asked him where I could dispose of the tyres he said he didn't know. I asked if I could put them out with the household waste - NO!!! he shouted at me. So I have to resort to fly tipping I guess....
This is probably a silly question, but have you tried googling for your commune or the garbage collection service for your area?
It's usually pretty easy to find the details for the commune I live in (in my case I just checked and they do take them, up to a maximum of five tyres per visit). But they are usually take away by the place you get the new ones from anyway.
Like CM, you can certainly dispose of them at my communal recycling park.
Does your commune have special rules to ensure that only residents use the place? Most do.
I had to register and get a pass which is used to get the barrier to open to get in. What's the situation where you live?
So which commune is it?
10 seconds using the search facility in Q&A gives you this question - answer includes a web link to where you can dispose of tyres - whether it is accurate or not -- I have no idea
http://www.xpats.com/disposing-old-car-tyres-and-expired-medicines
and on looking at the link
Pneus déjantés (maximum 5 pneus acceptés)
https://www.arp-gan.be/fr/nos-parcs-conteneurs -- on same page are the addresses - but wouldn't allow me to copy paste for some reason.
Where I am only a small container park and they accept tyres just once a year
