Question

Could anybody recommend a free antivirus programme that I could download on my PC?

Mimi

Avast, don't think twice about it. http://download.cnet.com/windows/

Microsoft Security Essentials

For PC security I recommend (and for five years) have used 3 things:

- Microsoft Security Essentials
- SuperAntiSpyWare
- Peerblock.

All free, and arguably, MSE is all you need really.

work in IT and for free stuff, avast is a simple antivirus that is good. Better ones out there, but more complicated.

Microsoft security essentials hasn't been good for about maybe a year or so.
