Maternal Schools

Question

Right now my baby is just near to 2-years & only says (mama, papa, no etc..) Crech asked me the leaving date and I am little confused about the following.

- When to register my baby for maternal school?
- When baby will start school?
- Can it be a hurdle in admission, if baby is not speaking properly?

You need to contact already the schools you are interested in to see if there is place for next year. Some people place them in waiting list since the babies are born.

1. now
2. Usually the term that the child is 2 1/2 (so January, after Easter, or September)
3. No. Nappies can be with some schools though.

You know you have the right for your child to stay at the creche til he/she is 3yrs
First and foremost contact the school of your choice to know when is admission, this varys on his year of birth.
Then again if you dont have the possibility of staying with him at home, when school breaks for holidays that's when struggle begins bse most activities allow kids from 3yrs.
creche trys to push for 2yrs and a half but kids can stay til 3yrs.
so cross check with when he/she can go to school before you give a date to the creche

Choose your language first and ask friends and neighbour which maternelle they use. Tray and find ones people are happy with. If your child is the oldest in crèche they maybe bored.
Ps if you are worried about your child's lack of speech approach a paediatrician to get the ears checked for glue ear. This can delay speech in otherwise normal babies. Especially prevelant in boys, its when the ear canals get blocked by thicken secretions, it can disappear on its own, to may need to be sorted by a doctor.
