Controle technique
Very Needy Q - Doing the contrôle technique at Nivelles. Have very poor listening audio comprehension of French, no flemish. Would anyone be a doll and tell me what they say to you as you drive along to the different spots ie you pull up and they ask you the mileage - thats as far as I know! What do they say after that - in sequence please if you can- do they want you to rev up/ brake, place gear stick in neutral or first gear . Wish it was written on a screen as I can read it fine enough. Thanks
They "point and shoot" - you'll get by fine with sign language. You just stand by the car and they do what needs doing. You might even find someone who can manage with English.
That's right J. Usually too noisy to hear them anyway. You won't be the first non-fluent French speaker they've dealt with. Don't forget to have all seat belts plugged in - they love checking on that one.
While we're at it, is the CT an annual thing for autos d'un certain age? It's my first year with a car in Brussels, and it's used, 9 years old in January (but in very good condition). Do I get an "invitation" to the CT in the post? Thanks.
