Ryanair checkin luggage allowance
Just to be sure I dont get screwed...
It says on Ryanair FAQ: Each passenger may check in up to two checked bags upon payment of the applicable checked baggage fees by electing to purchase a checked baggage allowance of either 15 kilos or 20 kilos when make their initial booking.
It then gives the following options: Add checked baggage:
No more baggage Eur 0
1st checked bag(15kg) Eur20.00
1st checked bag (20kg) Eur30.00
2nd checked bag (15kg) Eur 60.00
Am I right in thinking I can choose to take one bag only and pay either the 20 or 30, or I can spread 15kg or 20kg across 2 bags and pay Eur60 for the pleasure? Two bags if I want but max weight is 20kg?
"Two bags if I want but max weight is 20kg?"
Not quite;
two bags of which one is a maximum of 20kg, and the second is a maximum of 15kg.
Therefore the maximum weight for two bags is 35kg.
i understand it that for two bags one 20 and one 15 the cost would be 90.
No, to spread your 15kg across two bags you'd pay 90 Euros for the pleasure; 30 for the first bag and 60 for the second. That's if you book in advance. If you have to change it at the airport they charge you up to 160 Euros/bag.
Edit: I meant 20kg.
