Solution for "Very Low" wifi signal strength!
I just took on a pack from Belgacom, and had the installation done in my living room last week. The signal 3 and 4 rooms away goes from Very Low to non-existent. The wifi is incorporated in the BBox3. I bought a Wifi Bridge yesterday, but this has to be connected to the TV digibox. Can anyone tell me how to get a stronger signal in the room where my PC is installed, and what I need to buy? Many thanks.
Have you tried moving the BBox? Sometimes even a small re-location of the box away from a wall, or corner of a room can have a dramatic effect on the range of the wi-fi. Alternatively, you can use "powerline network" adaptors to get the signal to where your PC is. You can buy this kit at Belgacom shops, places like Media Markt, or even the larger supermarkets that have a electrical dept, like Carrefour.

Popular brands include D-Link, Linksys, Belkin seems to be sold a lot here, and you can also buy cheaper non-branded Asian / Chinese made stuff.
Also check that you are not getting signal interruption from other wireless devices such as wireless TV senders etc. These can normally be switched to another bandwidth and if not then check the Belgacom website for details on how to change your B-Box wireless band.
I think what you need is called a wifi router.
You can search for it on amazon. Read the reviews to verify if this is what you need.
Try this before you start buying extra equipment. As Richard said you may be getting some interference.

The BBox3 has TWO wifi radios
-a normal one, 802.1n in the 2.4 Ghz freq
-a fast one, 802.1ac in the 5 GHz freq
You would use the first for web browsing, the second one for TV watching (with a wireless bridge)
Which is the radio that shows poor performance? Are you sure that you are picking up the signal from YOUR box and not the neighbour's?
