Giving away household objects
If you're not looking for cash and the stuff is in reasonable order why not contact a charity shop. The Kringloopwinkel (sorry don't know the French) will come and collect most large, unwanted items.
Many people use Facebook groups to sell now, most efficient way is using a flickr link or similar where you can update as things sell and publish on multiple groups.
Salvation Army, armee de salut. Check number online. They have a big warehouse on several floors near the canal where they sell anything and everything for low prices. They have accommodation there for about 70 homeless men, re-socialise them, and give them work in the warehouse. They may come and collect your stuff, but you need to check.
I've used the Facebook sites "Brussels for sale" and "Brussels SELL/SWAP". for the first you need an invite from a friend, the second you can apply to join. Sold and bought lots of stuff there.
