Disposal of earth from garden

Question

I am planting hedging and making borders in my garden which will result in a fair amount of excess soil. Where can I dispose of this? The dump takes grass, branches etc but not the earth itself.

Thanks

Luke

If it is good soil (top soil) some people need this for their gardens - pop an ad on the bulletin site under donations (I think that is free) You can put on kapaza as well (they have a frre option) and also how about a sign outside your house. I have managed to dispose of topsoil in the past just putting a sign outside with my phone number - Ive also gained lots of free rubble for a driveway base doing the same.

If you live anywhere near Waterloo/Ohain I could have a solution for you - if you are prepared to transport it.... contact me nutrivert at gmail.com if interested, thanks

hi what makes you think you will have a big amount to get rid of? if you dig a trench and enrich it you still need to back fill it and that will take soil. soil is a complex biological structure a top soil is needed. I imagine if you have excess you can just spread it thinly over the rest of your garden
