Parking in parking house

Question

If you want to buy a 24/7 parking option in a parking house in Brussels in a fairly central location, any approx. idea how much it would cost per month? The reason I ask is that I found a nice apartment - there is a parking house nearby which I would prefer to parking on the street as it seems quite hard to find available spots

Thanks in advance for all answers

> there is a parking house nearby
You'll have to ask them.

> fairly central location
= live without a car. Cambio, public transport, car rental, combined, are a much cheaper option than ownership.

www.interparking.be is one of the main car park providers. You can request a price for annual subscriptions here:

J, it's a company car. Should I say no thanks to that...

Anon, thanks for the link. I have seen something similar, but I rather hear an approx. figure here than having to contact them.

Well...

If you WANT to live in the middle of the city, and the car is just a perk, you could ask for more money (a typical car lease costs 6-800/month)

Or you could park it at the office for free and just use it when you need it. And cut your commute times (that does depend on the office location though)

> I rather hear an approx. figure here
Ah. OK. Between €70 and €400/ month. Happy to have been of assistance.

I rented a box garage in Schaerbeek for 85 euro a month. I also once rented a space in one of the large public parking places in Toison D'Or at 150 euro a month.

I once inquired interparking for one of their garages close ot Rue Royale, they quoted me 175 per month.

Wow, how I truly hate the company car culture in Belgium. Just had to get that off my chest. An anachronism. Here's someone who sounds like (s)he doesn't particularly want or need a car. There's thousands like 'em out there in Belgium, but they'll take and drive the car cause it's served up to them as some sort of benefit.
