Company set-up

Question

Hello,
I have a question about the set-up of a business in Belgium (Bruxelles).

I would like to start an on-line e-commerce activity. 100% of sales will happen via web.
All inventory is purchased in US and sold in Belgium ( and possibly in other EU/Euro countries).

The suppliers in this business will be:
- the US manufacturer of the goods
- the logistic company that takes care of the shipment (example DHL )
- the import agent (potentially the same DHL that takes care of the import duties and taxes during the customs processing)
- the e-commerce hosting provider ( that runs the IT infrastructure of the e-commerce web site)
Customers will be consumers. No need for a warehouse, the goods can fit in my spare room.

The revenue of this activity will not equate to a real job. This will only generate a marginal income.

My question is: can this type of activity be run by a "Entreprise personne physique" or entreprise individuelle ?
Or is it necessary to crate a "Societe" like a SPRL or SPRL-s to handle this business transactions?

Thank you for your help

FFS do your own reseach. It would take me about 2 days to sort out a reply that just about scratches the surface.

Do your own reseach, cause if you don't, you'll end up going through the nightmare of going bust.

If you are employed as an employee , and will do this on the side , you can register as "zelfstandige in bijberoep", as a start.
Be aware that you are personally liable for all debts in this case , ...

Before entering into e-commerce industry, you must check out lot of case studies and business models. It doesn't matter to create online ecommerce platform since many open source solutions available in the market. You need to have a good enough man power to deliver goods on time.
