Tour de France 2015 for three days in Belgium

11:14 01/10/2014

The famous cycling competition, Tour de France, will next summer spend three days crossing Belgian territory, reports La Dernière Heure. The official presentation of the 2015 Tour will take place on October 22, but details of the course have already been released.

The route begins on July 4, 2015, with a time trial of 13.7 km through the streets of Utrecht, in the Netherlands.

On July 6, the Tour comes to Belgium, passing through Antwerp for the third stage. The fourth stage leads the riders from Antwerp to Huy. The Liège city has received the Tour three times in the past, but never as a place of arrival. Its infamous ‘wall’ should make for a rousing finale.

Finally, the peloton moves on to Seraing on July 8, as a starting place for the fifth Tour stage, before heading to Normandy and Brittany, in northern France.
