Resignation from ASBL

Question

Hi

I helped found a non profit ASBL and was one of the 3 founders (secretary). However, once the organization was established I had to withdraw due to personal circumstances.

I resigned and provided the club with the fees (121 EUR) to update the paperwork. I have copies of my resignation and a confirmation of receipt.

A year later I found out that they had not updated anything, I asked again they remove me from the official documents for the club. Was told it would be done beginning of Jan.

I suspect, again they have done nothing.

How can I verify what the status is without passing through the other founders?

Then, is there a way for me to update these documents myself without having to rely on them to do it?

Thanks for any advice.

An ASBL is a legal form that must be published. Therefore all changes must be published to (I'm sure you know all this already through)

Google "verifier status ASBL" suggests:

You can enter the details of your asbl, and do a search to find out its current status.

If you seem to be still the secretary of the asbl ; then submit the paperwork to change this yourself , legally you can do this , you might have to pay the cost again, but else you have to get a lawyer to make the asbl to do this , and any lawyer bills more .
