Paypal are not a bank and they are not to be trusted with your money, which is why J is laughing. Mind you, banks are not to be trusted either, but more than paypal.

I have personal experience with this company and more fool me, only read in detail their ever changing 26,000 word legalise of "we will do what the hell we like with your money when we like" terms and conditions after they froze my account, and the money in it, after deciding they did not like me "targeting US citizens" or the nature of my business.

Complete crap on their part and they had already had the nature of my business clearly spelled out two years earlier and I was not targeting US citizens at all, I just had a couple come to me to do business.

But then, even the banks shun Americans these days, more trouble than they are worth. As I discovered.

I see the nutter are out in force again, but having said that, opportunities to pay by Paypal and smartphone at retail outlets are very rare. Why don't you just connect your Paypal account to a Belgian account or a credit card - which is very easy - and transfer the balance?

Nothing nutty at all. I certainly second the suggestion to transfer the money out of the account and thirdly, not leave money in there in future. If you want to use paypal to pay for anything, fund it with a credit card.

Well, your money, you want to spend it, and you can't. that's because it is stuck in Paypal. If it was in a bank or a real credit card, it would be available to you and you'd not be stuck.

Paypal fees are also daylight robbery.
