Can insurance pay you before valid date?
Does anyone experience with the 100%-covered insurance of Mutualite Socialiste? (https://www.google.be/search?q=mutualite+socialiste+insurance+belgium&cl...),
I bought one, which valid from January 2016. Will they cover the hospital costs some days or some weeks before the January 1st 2016? If yes, how many days please?
I could not communicate with them easily as they ONLY speak French and I don't. It is rather complicated to find a friend who could spend some hours in daytime to come there with me and ask. So I think posting a question here might be helpful.
Thank you very much,
Anna
I am with the Socialist mutuelle. In my local branch they never speak French. My Dutch is fine but I know that they will speak English if necessary.
If you need to speak English to someone, go to a branch outside Brussels.
As to your question, no insurer is going to pay out before the policy is valid. No-one. Not a mutuelle; not an insurance company.
Q - "Will they cover the hospital costs some days or some weeks before the January 1st 2016?"
A - No they won't.
