ex-employer refuses to give me C4 paper
I got fired a week ago and employer still has not given/sent me the C4 form. I've called and asked several times and they keep saying they will do it but nothing yet. Am starting to panic because apparently without the C4 I cannot claim any unemployment benefit.
How can I force my ex-employer to give me the C4?
TIA.
Notify your union, your local government unemployment office and register yourself at the VDAB. Also send them a letter by registered mail. Collect many legal documents from the Belgian government authorities, with stamps, dates and signatures so you are legally covered. Usually you have to tell all the authorities here within 3 working days - maximum a week. Go tomorrow.

Good advice above, a call to the employer from the union is likely the most efficient. The employer is obliged to give you the C4 and to deliver it at latest on the last day of work.
